This means better efficiency, better heat dissipation, and most importantly much more reliability than the stock motor. Magnets coming loose or demagnetized and hall sensors coming loose were the biggest causes of motor failure in the Sting/Surron. This motor also includes a magnetic encoder which removes the need for hall sensors. The second big upgrade that the Talaria Sting MX4 “R” has over the Sur-Ron Light Bee is their Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor. The Sur-Ron and also the base-model Talaria Sting MX3 both use affordable “Surface Mount” magnets in their rotor, referred to as Surface Permanent Magnet (SPM). For big power, the Sur-Ron primary drive has the option of kits that convert it to a chain drive, using either a #420 chain and sprockets, or #219 Kart chain and sprockets. The battery is 45Ah 60v (2700 Watt hours) consisting of high performance  LG (5000mah) cells that do not compromise battery life when putting out the extra range and power.
